The County regulates and enforces bylaws for the care and safety of animals within its municipal boundaries.

The Enforcement Services department provides an essential “quality-of-life” function that helps the County manage animal control, bylaw and traffic infractions and related public safety services. Community Peace Officers (CPOs) are bylaw enforcement employees of the County, and are responsible for the enforcement of non-criminal provincial statutes, and County bylaws.
