Lac St. Anne is accepting applications from individuals in the agricultural industry and from a young entrepreneur interested in becoming a member of the Economic Development Advisory Committee. The Economic Development Advisory Committee acts as an advisory body to Council on matters relating to the long-term economic health of the communities. Its decisions will have an impact on developers, citizens, business and industry and will help to shape Lac Ste. Anne County and its business communities. Support economic vitality and development and make recommendations on: Business attraction and expanding the commercial, retail and overall economic base of the community, etc. Economic Development Advisory Committee members will be appointed for a two (2) year term and are compensated for their mileage as based on the County’s mileage rate as well as a per diem rate as set by the County Council.
- 18 years of age or older
- A keen interest of business development, attraction and business retention
- Ability to commit to monthly meetings held during the day
- A willingness to sign and abide by the Code of Conduct
- Previous experience on a committee or chamber of commerce would be an asset
