Lac Ste Anne County Annual Clubroot Inspection

Lac Ste. Anne County performs an annual inspection of all canola fields within the county, as per Policy 408 – Control of Clubroot Disease, found here. This is done to monitor the pathogen’s movement and reduce the spread throughout our County. We offer a map that shows where the clubroot-susceptible crop restrictions are, for producers to make their own informed cropping decisions and reduce their risk. A copy is available for viewing at the County office.

During a Clubroot Information Session hosted November 21, 2017, County residents expressed an expectation of full transparency during the County's inspection process; some wished to be present when the inspection is performed. Hoever, due to the sheer area of canola fields in the County, it would not be possible to schedule inspections with each producer. To address this issue, the County has created a general schedule to outline where we will be inspecting and when.
