Message from Reeve Blakeman

Just a quick drive west of the Province of Alberta's capital city, Lac Ste. Anne County welcomes you to a special mix of rural warmth and urban proximity that only we can offer. I encourage you to explore our abundant natural capital; namely our lakes, rivers, campsites, towns and hamlets and visit with our best assets, the residents of the County.

Lac Ste. Anne County presents a rural/urban cultural blend with agriculture continuing to be the economic stabilizer of the County. Your County Councillors

Lac Ste. Anne County Council consists of a Reeve and six Councillors, representing seven municipal divisions. Municipal elections are held every four years on the third Monday in the month of October pursuant to the Municipal Government Act and the Local Authorities Election Act. The last municipal election was held on October 16, 2017.

Public Council meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted. Council welcomes all to attend and observe Council meetings. Those who wish to present information to Council are encouraged to review Section (h [Delegations and Appointments]) of Lac Ste. Anne County Bylaw #17-20.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located at 56521 Range Road 65. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
