Parent Category: News Public Works News

The County’s paid, annual Roadside Clean-up Program is scheduled to kick off in the coming weeks!

The County is looking for interested community groups to perform roadside cleanup on various County roads; dates will be coordinated directly with the selected groups. Letters of interest must be submitted no later than noon on June 11 (deadline is subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions).

Roads included in the County's 2021 Clean-up Program are as follows:

Lac Ste. Anne County will pay$200.00 per mile of roadway cleaned,on both sides. The County will provide garbage bags to groups selected for the 2021 program, however, participants are responsible for their own safety vests. Community groups are invited to submit their letter of interest including: their group name, their division, and a contact name and phone number to: Lac Ste. Anne County, Box 219, Sangudo, AB T0E 2A0, attention: Julie Lalonde, or by email publicworks (@) LSAC.ca, no later than noon on June 11.

PLEASE NOTE, successful community groups will be notified by the County as to their assigned area(s); dates of work will also be coordinated and confirmed. This is an important step because the County must notify the public of these dates and locations via its social media channels. The County will contact successful group leaders, so please do not assume your group has been selected to participate in this year’s program.

The County thanks all applicants for their interest, however only those selected to participate in this year’s program will be contacted.
