Managing Unharvested Crops Workshop

Due to the very wet fall of 2016 many producers had significant acres of unharvested crops. Deciding how to best deal with these unharvested crops can be difficult. Yellowhead County invites producers to come and learn how to proceed with managing the un-harvested crops including harvesting options, residue management, burning as well as potential insurance implications.

Road Repairs Scheduled

Please be advised that beginning Friday April 21, Lac Ste. Anne County’s Public Works department will begin road repairs on Township Road 544. Weather-permitting, necessary repairs will take place between RR21 and RR11. Drivers are thanked for exercising caution when road crews are present.

Wastewater System Work Underway

Residents of the Summer Village of Yellowstone; Summer Village of Castle Island; and Lac Ste. Anne County in the vicinity of the Hamlet of Gunn are advised that construction activities for the Wastewater Collection System will continue this Spring with pressure testing of all wastewater transmission and collection commencing the week of April 10, 2017.

Check Winter Burn Sites

Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services is asking all area residents to check their winter burn piles regularly over the next few weeks to ensure that, if burning is complete, the fire is actually OUT.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
