Harvesting Hemp Seminar

The County of Barrhead, in conjunction with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, will be conducting a seminar on producer and business opportunities for hemp production. The event will take place Thursday, November 30 at the Glenreagh Hall on 60001 Range Road 35 (just off Hwy 33 North). This free event will run from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

Space Camp Trainees Report to Council

This year's local Space Camp trainees, Morgan Thompson and Kiefer Owen-Bilida from Onoway Elementary School, presented an informative recap of their summer adventures at the November 9 Council meeting. These two local boys were the lucky two selected to attend the Cosmodome Space Camp in Laval, Quebec this summer.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located at 56521 Range Road 65. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
