Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League

Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League determined at their Feb. 7, 2017 organizational meeting that the games for U10, U14 and U19 will be scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Games for U12 and U16 will be scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings. The league does not schedule games for U6 or U8 – it is up to each community and their coaches to set up their own schedule for games and practices.

Campgrounds and Outdoor Education

Lac Ste. Anne County owns and operates three campgrounds, plus an outdoor education centre. Campgrounds are closed for the 2016 season, and will reopen in the spring of 2017.

For the safety & well-being of all concerned, cash will NOT be accepted for camping fees at any Lac Ste. Anne County owned/operated campgrounds. Visa, MasterCard or Interac are accepted.

2017 Seasonal Campsites: are you interested in a seasonal site for the 2017 season (May 15th - September 30th) at the Lessard Lake Public Campground or the Paddle River Dam Campground? We still have some seasonal sites available, on a "first come first serve" basis. If interested, please contact the Community Services Manager for more information.

Campground Education CentreSurrounded by trees and close to the public campground, the Lessard Lake Outdoor Education Centre is terrific for group activities or events. The 40’ X 60’ main lodge includes a spacious kitchen area with appliances, tables, chairs and a loft area overlooking the stone fireplace on the main floor. Rental includes use of two natural gas BBQs, picnic tables, and canoes (additional agreement required).

A large open area accommodates ten power/water RV sites, and four two-room cabins, each room with six bunk bed frames (total: 48). Firewood is supplied for the fire pits, each with log seating.

Campground Lessard LakeThis campground is located off Highway 43 approximately 2 km south on Range Road 51. Whether you are camping or just stopping for the day, you will find plenty of activities to enjoy.

This scenic campground consists of fifty (50) serviced and un-serviced camping stalls. Seasonal sites are available upon request. Reservations available at 780.284.3643.

Campground Paddle River DamThe newer Paddle River Dam Campground , open May 15 to September 30, is off Hwy. 43, about 3 km south of Rochfort Bridge on Rng. Rd. 80. Enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, boating, photography and wildlife viewing while camping at Lookout Point, Peters Pond or the Boat Launch Area. There’s lots of open space with fire pits and picnic tables. Pets are welcome. Reservations are available at 780.284.1753.

Campground SangudoIn a charming setting on the Pembina River, the Sangudo Riverside Campground and Day Use Area is within the hamlet of Sangudo, and open May 15 to September 30. The gated campground is adjacent to an arena, stock car race track, ball diamonds, skateboard park and playground – a perfect spot to watch or participate in the action, or to just relax. Pets are welcome. Sites available on a first come/first served basis only. Contact Campground Managers at: (780) 284-1985.

About the County

Founded in 1944, Lac Ste. Anne County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 13, roughly 45 minutes northwest of Edmonton. The County's administrative office is located in the Hamlet of Sangudo. Its namesake comes from its largest body of water, Lac Ste. Anne.
