Road Repair Update: July 15

Public Works crews are working to repair damaged County roads as a result of recent overland flooding. Road condition updates will be posted here as they become available.

At this time, several of the previously impacted roadways have now been mitigated, with the exception of the following roads, as of July 12, 2019 at 11:00am:

• Range Road 80 south of Hwy 43: slide
• Range Road 71 south of Hwy 43: slide
• Culvert at Township Road 554 (between Range Roads 62 & 63): slide
• Township Road 574 at Range Road 85: slide
• Township Road 553A and Range Road 61: slide
• Hamlet of Sangudo 53rd Avenue: slide

The County coordinates a variety of construction projects during the summer months including roadway; water and wastewater; and drainage projects. These added road repairs have put a considerable strain on an already short season; however, coordination of projects ensures an efficient approach to planning while optimizing available resources. Crews will address the repairs on a priority basis. We anticipate that all repairs will be completed by fall.

Barricades, signage and detours are in place as necessary. Please drive to the road and weather conditions while you navigate in these areas that have been impacted. The barricades and signage are in place for the safety of motorists, and we ask that they not be removed or altered in any way.

Please give Public Works crews the space they need to complete their work safely to ensure the safety of our residents and the travelling public.

Updates will be provided on this page as they are available, as well as on the County’s Facebook and Twitter news feeds.
