Space Camp Winners

Two intrepid County candidates have been selected to attend Cosmodome Space Camp in Laval, Quebec this summer.

Local students David Minchin and Jasmine Wegewitz are about to embark on astronaut training! They were the lucky two selected to attend the Cosmodome Space Camp in Laval, Quebec this summer. David and Jasmine underwent a vetting process that included grades, reference letters and an essay on why they were ideal candidates. Congratulations!

The County also congratulates runners-up Stanley Sorensen and Ijnse Bouis for their excellent submissions, and thanks all applicants for participating.

Additionally, a heartfelt thanks goes out to the selection committee: County Councillors Lloyd Giebelhaus and Nick Gelych; County Administration Trinity Hindes; Northern Gateway Public School Representative Sherry Jeffreys; and community member Carol Ohler. The County appreciates your time and careful consideration of each and every application. Thank you!
