Reeve Joe Blakeman joins his fellow Councillors and County staff members in a message of gratitude, goodwill and hope for the new year.
A Christmas Message from the County Reeve, Council and Staff
We’ve been through a lot this year. What lies ahead is both hopeful and uncertain…but together we’ll tackle whatever comes our way, as we always have and always will.
Family and fellowship are sure to take center stage during the holiday season, despite the present strains and restrictions of COVID-19. May you make new memories with your loved ones – both near and far. May you ring in the new year with pride in how far you’ve come and anticipation for what’s next. And may we all continue to work together to pull the County through its present challenges and keep the fabric of our communities ever strong.
We extend our sincere thanks to the community members of Lac Ste. Anne County. It’s your collective determination, your natural goodwill toward others and your willingness to work together that are the keys to making the County such an exceptional place to live, work and raise a family. No matter how you plan to spend your season – and despite the short-term restrictions on travel and gatherings – we wish you each a happy, joyous and love-filled Christmas.
We also wish to acknowledge our regional partners for their support during a difficult year. When faced with considerable challenges, we moved mountains thanks to the collective effort of municipal neighbours both close to home and farther afield. We worked as one on common goals, opportunities and threats to our way of life, and we forged stronger relationships in the process.
On behalf of the Staff and Councillors of Lac Ste. Anne County, please accept our warmest wishes for the holiday season. As we come to the end of a uniquely turbulent year, let us look forward with optimism. Let’s embrace the hope that the new year embodies. And let’s continue to look out for one another.
