EDDMapS stands for Early Detection Distribution Mapping System, and it is a web-based mapping system for documenting invasive species and pest distribution. EDDMapS' goal is to maximize the effectiveness and accessibility of the immense numbers of invasive species and pest observations recorded each year.
Through EDDMapS, participants can submit their observations or view results through interactive queries into the EDDMapS database. Participants can maintain their personal records and visualize data with interactive maps. It’s fast, easy to use, and doesn’t require any high-tech gear — just a smart phone will do.
The EDDMapS app is available for iPhone and Android devices. You can download it here.
Not a fan of apps? Report your sightings via the EDDMapS website here.
