As part of the County's transition in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a phone call/email transcription workflow has been implemented.
All phone calls to the County via 780.785.3411 or toll-free 1.866.880.5722 will be answered by the County's external answering service. The answering service will take down the vital information from each caller including their name, phone number and a summary of their message, and will then transcribe these details to individual email messages. These messages will be sent to the appropriate departments for review and response on a priority basis.
In order to maximize the effectiveness of this new workflow, callers are asked to speak clearly, and to communicate their messages in simple and direct terms. Callers are also advised to call back and leave a new message if they notice an inordinate delay in response. Staff levels may fluctuate and response times may vary depending upon employee workload and health status.
Citizens are thanked for their continued patience and understanding as the County transitions into this new workflow. It is the County's goal to meet the needs of all ratepayers as efficiently as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
