WILD Water Commission Announces Opening of Rich Valley Truck Fill

The Rich Valley Truck Fill is a major component of the west branch of the West Inter Lake District (WILD) Regional Water System – Phase IV construction. Providing commercial and private access to potable water in the region. The Rich Valley Truck Fill is located at the corner of Township Road 564 and Range Road 31. This new service will add coverage to the Rich Valley area, as well as additional market options for the Lac La Nonne and Lake Nakamun service areas. The Rich Valley Truck Fill is one of seven truck fills operating in the greater Lac Ste. Anne and Parkland regions.

The West Inter-Lake District (WILD) Water Commission was originally formed to explore the possibility of providing potable water to the south and easterly portion of Lac Ste. Anne County. Municipal members of the WILD Water Commission are Lac Ste. Anne County, Parkland County, Town of Onoway, Village of Alberta Beach, Summer Village of Lakeview, Village of Seba Beach, Village of Wabamun, Summer Village of Castle Island, Summer Village of Nakamun Park, Summer Village of Ross Haven, Summer Village of Sandy Beach, Summer Village of Sunrise Beach, Summer Village of Sunset Point, Summer Village of Val Quentin, Summer Village of West Cove, Summer Village of Yellowstone, Summer Village of Kapasiwin, Paul First Nation and Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation.

This commission has successfully completed four key phases of this initiative to date. The commission meets monthly to discuss operations and planning, with the board representatives reporting back to their respective Councils.
